In the ever-changing world of social media, platforms like Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest, are heavily focused on enhancements to keep users engaged and to provide valuable tools for businesses to connect with their target audiences. Each new innovation has the opportunity to reshape our digital experiences, so staying in the know is a must. Let’s explore some of the latest offerings from these platforms.
Meta
Budget Scheduler
As AI expands in the advertising world, Meta is tapping into its powers to allow advertisers to better optimize their budgets for moments when they anticipate higher sales, peak traffic periods or other promotional time periods. Advertisers are able to increase their daily budget to maximize promotional and sales opportunities, and when the promotional period ends, the budget will automatically revert to the daily budget originally set.
Promotional Ads and Reminder Ads in Meta Business Manager
Meta is making promotional and reminder ads available to more advertisers in Q4. Promotional ads simplify the process of finding and applying useful codes in order to help advertisers connect people with their best offers. In return, businesses see increased conversion rates as 41% of consumers find ads that show relevant products/discounts the most influential in their purchase decision.
Reminder ads are a unique way to build awareness and excitement around events such as new product drops or sales. When users opt in, they receive notifications from the Instagram post one day before, 15 minutes before and at the time of the event.
TikTok
Launch of TIkTok Shop
TikTok has launched its e-commerce feature called "TikTok Shop" in the United States. This move allows users to shop for products directly within the app. TikTok Shop is expected to offer a wide range of products from various brands and creators, providing a seamless shopping experience for users while also allowing businesses to tap into TikTok's large user base for advertising and selling their products. This marks TikTok's expansion into the e-commerce space, capitalizing on its popularity as a social media platform.
The in-shop tools allow businesses to create a custom collection of products out of their profile page. Customers can also see product recommendations and businesses can directly manage orders within one tab. Merchants can also utilize a logistics solution in which TikTok Shop handles the product storage, packing and shipping of orders. The platform uses a third-party payment solution to operate a secure checkout system.
Enhanced Creative Options
At Pinterest’s recent “Pinterest Presents” event, the platform showcased new ad products and display options. Two of the most notable being Showcase ads and Quiz ads. Showcase ads invite the user to engage by swiping through multiple cards with information about products. Showcase ads will appear as larger tiles in the home feed, making them stand out more among other images, example from Social Media Today.
Another new type of ad available to brands advertising on Pinterest are Quiz ads, in which users are prompted with questions. Up to three questions can be included per quiz to create a more engaging experience and show customers personalized products based on their responses.
As these platforms proceed to roll out new features and embrace automation and Artificial Intelligence, businesses and advertisers should stay vigilant and open-minded to make the most of these new opportunities. Whether you are looking to boost your advertising strategy or stay innovative with new creative possibilities, these features have the potential to take your online presence to the next level. Embrace the changes and seize the potential they offer in the ever-evolving digital world!
