If I had a nickel for every time the word “AI” has been mentioned in recent months….don’t we all feel that way? Like it or not AI is coming in full force within Digital Marketing and we here at Revel Interactive are leaning in to find ways it can assist in our day to day instead of ignoring it, or even worse fearing it.

AI creating content and creative recommendations is probably one of the most heard of ways to utilize AI today in Digital Marketing. Not only is this a huge time saver for any marketing agency and client partner, but also utilizing AI to help with ad copy writing can give you refreshed ways of breaking out of your cycle with the same promo, different day.

 

AI & Data Analysis

Machine learning isn’t a foreign term to any of us here, but it’s the heart of AI’s data analysis capabilities. This allows AI to identify patterns and make decisions with minimal human intervention by giving it data without explicit instructions. AI must find structure in the data on its own such as grouping similar customers into segments or finding unusual patterns.

Natural Language Processing (NLP) enables AI to understand, interpret and generate human language. This allows AI to analyze data that comes in the form of text such as customers reviews, social media posts, news articles and more.

 

AI & Predictive Analytics

Deep learning is a subset of machine learning which utilizes neural networks with many layers to analyze data. This type of learning is effective for predictive analytics because it uses complex models to predict future events or behaviors. I don’t know about you but this makes the data nerd in me so excited! To finally have technology at our fingertips to take historical data and an algorithm learns by comparing the actual output with correct outputs to predict what we can expect for the future, just wow! Holiday planning and performance predications are one of the first examples that come to my mind for utilizing AI’s predictive analytics and layer on an election year, I will be utilizing any data help I can get!

 

The list goes on and on with ways AI can be used to detect, inform, predict, and act upon the data you share with this powerful technology. We encourage you to start adapting to the AI evolution and the beneficial help it can provide everyone but be cautious as you can’t fully trust it on its own. Of course, it goes without saying, there is still very much a requirement for a human being to decide what to implement and utilize in their day-to-day marketing strategies!
